Megan’s Challenge held a Charity Butterfly Ball on Saturday 30th August in a marquee at Gayton Social Club, posh frocks and black tie was worn, with hog roast, disco, photographer and we also held a raffle.
The ball was an amazing success and everyone loved dressing up and enjoyed a really good evening. We raised a brilliant amount of £1688.00. We have had so many positive and lovely feedbacks that we are planning on making it an annual event. Date TBA
The money raised will enable Megan’s Challenge to keep money in the pot so we are able to donate or sponsor without having to wait to do a challenge each time. Also it enables us to cover some of the costs of doing our challenges eg transport, fuel and advertising in addition to any sponsorship we may receive. Any additional costs eg accommodation is always paid for by the challengers not the charity. This means that all the monies raised from the challenges goes to the chosen charity/charities.
Megan’s Challenge would like to give a very big thank you to all those who donated or discounted their services, Julian – Howards Butchers, John – Kings Butchers, Mandy and Peter – Rudd Marquees, Tony – Tony Hall Photos, Peter – Premier Bars, Will -White China. Many thanks to all those who donated raffle prizes and everyone who helped. Last but not least thank you to everyone who attended the ball and looked amazing.
